Meet Jenna

The Memory Librarian

Hi, I'm Jenna!

I’ve fallen for the growing minimalist movement and strive to rid my home of extra stuff that doesn’t “spark joy.” But one collection in my home wasn’t getting the attention it needed: my massive photo library!

My photos were all over the place in digital and physical form, stored in dusty boxes, on CDs, old laptops, cell phones, and thumb drives. I even inherited my parents’ photo albums, slides, and VHS home videos—all of which are my most prized possessions. These keepsakes were taking up a lot of space in my home and I wasn’t even viewing or enjoying them.

After I learned about digital photo organizing and tackled my own photo projects, I knew I wanted to help others do the same. As a public and academic librarian since 2010, I’ve enjoyed serving the public and making information accessible and easy to understand. I hold a Master’s of Library and Information Science and have a passion for stories and memory keeping – I can’t get enough of vintage books, old photos, and recorded stories! I’ve had the great honor of collaborating with local art & history associations, and nationally recognized organizations like StoryCorps and StoryCenter as part of my library work. I’ve now combined my love of photos and libraries to bring The Memory Librarian to life! When I’m not organizing books and photos, you can find me enjoying the outdoors with my husband and our two young boys.

Located in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California. Serving clients worldwide.
